Hi,
We would need to have some idea how your data is laid out. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button. Bob Bridges I'll intersperse questions and remarks:
Jim G I have a worksheet with about 700 names and email addresses. I can[']t data sort [sort the data?] because [of] the way the columns lay [are laid] out. Bob Bridges I don't understand why you can't sort, but I can take your word for it. Jim G I wanted to do a formul[a] so Excel looks for the cell NEXT to the text "e-mai".... Bob Bridges And where is the text "e-mai"? Jim G ....then sorts or identif[ies] that column.... Bob Bridges Which column? So far I have three - no, four: the name, the email address, the text value "e-mai", and the column NEXT to the text value "e-mai". Which one do you feel like sorting? Jim G ....to expoto [export?] a database[.]oe Bob Bridges Well, first things first. Let's figure out what sort column you're trying to create. |
