VISTA working with OFFICE 2003,2007 both or which?
$100 is expensive to me so bear with me a moment. I need an upgrade
from OFFICE 97. I have it working on VISTA 64-bit which I'm told is amazing but I want to upgrade to a more modern version of Office. What is the OLDEST version of a more modern version of Office that is known to work well with Vista? Obviously I'm excluding my 97 version from the oldest choices. thanks... |
VISTA working with OFFICE 2003,2007 both or which?
Hi,
I have 3 machines running multiple versions of Office under VISTA 32 bit, they all work just fine. I am running Office 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 all at the same time under Vista. I think your main considerations should be: 1. Are you ready for the 2007 interface? 2. Do you work with lots of other people that are using one version or the other - ease of file exchange and compatibility might be an issue. My philosopy is to go with 2007 because I doubt Microsoft will go back to the old interface and its only forward from here. I realize that Office 2003 runs faster but the difference wouldn't stop me, since Vista runs slower than XP. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
