Data Validation doesnt work with Copy/Paste
 

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with my datavalidation on excel, i did the columns
where i need data validation and it works perfectly when i tip the
things.. but if i dont tip and just copy paste from somewhere the
datavalidation doesnt check anymore! how can i check it again?

Hi,

What does "tip" mean? Maybe you should increase the gratuity.

Actually, tell us what the data validation is. If it is a formula make sure
the references are absolute.

Hi xmux

Pasting into a cell with data validation will remove the data validation, as
you describe. The way round this is to to do Paste Special - Values. This
will allow unvalidated data to be input but will also retain the data
validation criteria.
