How do I delete a Hyperlink in a cell
By accident I used the @ sign in a cell of EXcel 2007. Now whatever I want
to enter in that particular cell turns into an e-mail address, i.e. underlined and blue. I tried to use the Hyperlink Help page "Create, select, edit, or delete a hyperlink" but nothing works. Pls. give me an idea how to clear the cell for proper data. Thks. |

How do I delete a Hyperlink in a cell
Hi,
In 2007, right-click the cell and choose Remove Hyperlink. If you enter another entry in that cell, or any cell, which Excel interprets as a hyperlink it will redo it as a hyperlink. In other words when you choose Remove Hyperlink it is only doing it for the current entry. I also have a vague recollection that 2007 had problems in this area before SP1. So make sure you have installed service pack 1. You can check by pressing Alt+1 picking Resources and checking the bottom line for "SP1" -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
