Hi,
Choose Format, Cells, Number tab, Custom and enter YYYY on the Type line. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button. Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Soth" wrote: Hi, How do I format this below date to just a Year which i'm looking for? 3/31/2008 10/3/1996 Appreciat your help Thanks sothea |

Highlight the cells with the dates in, click on Format | Cells |
Number tab, and choose Custom from the bottom of the list. In the panel just enter yyyy, then click OK. Note that the date will still be in the cell (not the year), as you have just chosen to display it in a certain format. Hence you can't do any arithmetic on the cell which would rely on the year being there - instead, use YEAR(A1) if you want to do this. Hope this helps.
