Multiple Sheets / Pivot
Have read about 3D functions here, very helpful. Thanks to all who respond. I'd like 1 sheet for every student. with a class code (PSY1, ENG2) in the same cell in every worksheet. I'd like a summary sheet that shows for period 1, I have 3 PSY, 2 ENG, 5 HIST, etc.. i.e. a little pivot table. It's not a sum, or a count. Is there a function for this ? Thanks MK |
Multiple Sheets / Pivot
Hi
I don't know what else you intend putting on each sheet, but I think you will save yourself a lot of future pain by putting all the data on one sheet, with one extra column for Student name (in place of the individual sheet). You could then use Filters (for Period 1) for example to bring up a list of the Students and their discipline. Alternatively, if the data were set up on one sheet in a suitable manner, a Pivot Table could be produced. You will not achieve a Pivot Table from multiple sheets in the manner you describe. -- Regards Roger Govier "lab-guy" wrote in message ... Have read about 3D functions here, very helpful.
