prevent users from overwriting other users data
Hello all,
I have created a sign up list in excel. Is there a way to protect the changes a user made to a shared excel file from other users? I'll explain myself: I know how to protect a worksheet or a part of it so nobody can modify it, but I would like to have a file that can't be modified after a user inserted his name but by the user himself. So the first user can insert his name in a cell to sign up for a course and save the file. When the second user opens the file he can't delete or modify the first users name, only insert his' to,... I don't know if this is possible. Any help is appreciated. Thx |
