Is this even possible??

I want to cross reference a lookup to find a number (1-17) in columns
b,d,f,h,j,l,m, and so on on the same row, but use that to input the value in
column "a" (various rows). Basically, I am making a schedule based on
stations that vary from person to person, day to day. I would like to be able
to input the schedule data and use that to auto fill in a shift sub sheet for
everyt day of the week that looks up station #1 on monday is sally and tues.
is billy. If it would help I am willing to email the file to look at. Thanks
