data entry problems in excel
 

working in excel - dont know what happened while typing in info but suddenly
when I try to enter the number four in a cell the cursor jumps to the cell to
the left - if I try to enter the number five nothing happens - if I try to
enter the number six the cursor jumps to the cell to the right.....what have
I done and how can I fix it....

You must have enabled the numlock.....check if the numlock light is on at the top of numeric pad...if not press numlock............it will relsolve the problem
