SUMIF
I am trying to calculate the sum of a range based upon 2 criteria but cannot
work out how to do it. For example, I would like to count the monetary value of a column (A) based upon a criteria, such as a name, in another column (B) and then assuming it matches the criteria of another column (C). I can make it do a calculation based upon the first two but not the third column. I hope this makes sense if anyone can help??? Thanks. Neil |
SUMIF
For multiple sets of criteria, try SUMPRODUCT instead:
=SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B100="Name"),--(C1:C100="YourCriteria"),A1:A100) HTH Elkar "Neil Miller" wrote: I am trying to calculate the sum of a range based upon 2 criteria but cannot work out how to do it. SUMIF
Hi,
In 2007 you can use SUMIFS =SUMIFS(A1:A100,F1,B1:B100,F2,C1:C100) Where the condition for column B is entered in F1 and the one for column C is entered if F2. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
