How do I copy a drop down list easily in a column of 600 rows? Dragging
doesn't work, copying all the cells and validating doesn't work, fill down
doesn't work.

Let's assume the list is in A1 and you want to copy it to A2:A10...

Select cell A1
Copy it: EditCopy
Now select A2:A10
EditPaste SpecialValidationOK

I would pre-select the 600 cells then DataValidationAllowList

But setting one cell then dragging works for me in 2003 and 2007 versions.

Are your options set to "allow cell drag and drop"?
