I am getting an error when I try to group data in a pivot table.
I have been working with the same data fields for weeks, pasting in new data
and refreshing my data source ranges. I have been able to group dates in my data, but now today I am not able to group my dates. |

If you have any text (or blanks) in that field, then you won't be allowed to
group it. If you're positive that there are no blanks/text in that field, then you may want to rebuild the pivottable. Sometimes, xl "knows" that there are non-dates in the field, even when I can't find any! And in cases like that, excel wins (even if it's wrong!).
