I want to be able to have the computer to give me a expiration date at the
end of the 6th day starting today

Hi John
You can type a date in one cell e.g. A2 or you can press Ctrl+; semicolon to get
today's date and in an other cell just type =A2+6.

In the expiration cell enter

=TODAY()+6
