C be made to be 12 characters wide in rows 10-20 and 18 wide in rows 21-25? I am trying to create a form with a block 12 columns wide and 10 rows at the top. Under that are two blocks of information that require widely different column widths, but mus fit in the same 8.5 x 11 sheet size. No calculations are performed in the two bottom blocks of data. They are merely data entry blocks. |

No, it can not be done.
You can however merge the cells in row 21-25 with the next column and adjust the width... "Reggie Kemp" wrote: Excel 2007 Is it possible to vary the column width between rows? Hi,
can't be done in any version of Excel. Nor can row heights vary along a single row. If you want those kind of features you can work with a Word table. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Reggie Kemp" wrote: Excel 2007 Is it possible to vary the column width between rows? You can use Merged Cells to achieve a similar effect.
For example. set the column widths to 6 characters, then to get cells 12 characters wide you can merge 2 adjacent cells, and to get cells 18 characters wide you can merge 3 adjacent cells.
