How do I display text when a cell value is 0 for accounting?

I am using Office Exel 2007 and I am having trouble getting the data to
display the way I want it to by using the IF function to test the cell. My
situation is as follows

I have cell C25 Formatted for accounting and the value is $0.00. Currnetly,
the value in the cell is shown as " $ - ". Instead of showing this I want
to do something like the example as follows:

If the dollar amount in C25 is equal to 0, then display "PAID" in bold
letters with geen fill, If the dollar amount in C25 is equal to or greather
than $5.00, then I want the dollar amount to be displayed.

How can I make this happen?
Please reply ASAP.

Thank you,

You have two options. Custom formatting, and conditional formatting.

To custom format a cell, right-click on it, choose Format
Cells...NumberCustom
You specify the format for up to four values, each separated by a
semi-colon. The standard values a
positive;negative;zero;text

The easiest to probably to change one of the custom formats already on file.

If custom formatting isn't powerful enough for you, then use conditional
formatting.

Fred.

conditional formating will work for the colors and the bold , then a simple
if function will work to
produce the word, conditional formating is the only way to bold and color
the format of the text
in styles click conditional formiting (highlight the range first), then
select new rule, and then "format text that contains"
then in the drop down select spefic text and the type the text you would
like to auto format click
format and then do what ever you please
