IF Function
I wanted to know if thre is a way to make a formula change when the date
changes, either using the "IF" function, or some other function. As an example, I have a report that sumarizes activity for the previous month or quarter. The summarized data is taken from another workbook and linked, such as =SUM(U:\Drew\[INVWKSH09.XLS]1996'!$B$409:$B$410). I want the formula to ask if the date of the report (cell A5) is equal to mm/dd/yy then change the formula so that the SUM is now $B$411:$B$413. Thanks for any help -- Allan |
IF Function
Without more details of what is in cell B409 or how is the relationship
between A5 and the range to be summed from another sheet Take a look at OFFSET and INDIRECT functions in Excel help.... Or provide more details for more specific formula "Flipper" wrote: I wanted to know if thre is a way to make a formula change when the date changes, either using the "IF" function, or some other function.
