Excel function =if(istext(c25:c31),text," "). What is wrong?

Trying to have the text found in the range c25 to c31 added to a separate
cell. Only one of the cells in the range of cells c25 to c31 will contain
text. The rest will always be blank.

If all the cells except one are blank, then you could do this:

=C25&C26&C27&C28&C29&C30&C31

Hope this helps.

The rest will always be blank.

Does that mean the cells will be *empty* or might they contain formulas that
return formula blanks ("")?

See if this does what you want:

=LOOKUP("zzzzz",C25:C31)
