HELP! Trying to create a nested formula
 

I am having a problem nesting this calculation, in addition the final sum
should be rounded to 34k....do not know where I am going wrong



Example:

Payment Gross Up Sum Rounded
32,549.00 976.47 33,525.47 30,000.00

Hi,

You didn't give any rules for the rounding - up or down or nearest so I'll
guess nearest 1000 so with the sum of your numbers in C2 try this

=ROUND(C2/1000,0)*1000

Hi,

You didn't tell us what formula you are using?

If you want to round a sum to the nearest 1000, you can do this with
formatting (for display only or using a round to actually change the number).

Formatting to the nearest 1K
=SUM(A1:A100)
choose Format, Cells, Number tab, Custom and enter either
#0,K
or
0,K

To round to the nearest 1K
=ROUND(A1,-3)
Which you could format using the above suggestion.

And I guess I didn't answer the nesting issue:

=ROUND(SUM(A1:A100),-3)
