Maximum Characters in a cell
 

I have more than the maximum characters in a cell and therefore can not see
everything unless I click on the cell itself. Is there a way to expand the
maximum characters allowed to be able to see everything in the cell?

Excel's help says that about 1000 characters will be visible in the cell.

But if you add alt-enters to force new lines within the cell, you can see way
more than the documented number.
