Formatting a text box to display as currency
I hope I am posting this in the correct location but can anyone tell me how
to format a text box so that it will display as currency. I have tried FormatConditions but currency it not supported. I have also tried things as simple as fomatting the linked cell but nothing has worked. Thanks for your help. Ed |
Ed,
I was able to format a linked cell and have a currency format reflected in the textbox. To do so, format a number in cell A1 as currency. Then, go to the drawing toolbar and drag a new textbox onto your worksheet. Click once inside of the textbox - the "handles"should appear around the edges. Next, go to the formula toolbar and enter "=A1". Hit the Enter key. ---- Regards, John Mansfield http://www.pdbook.com "Ed P" wrote: I hope I am posting this in the correct location but can anyone tell me how to format a text box so that it will display as currency.
