Edits not saved when re-opening file
Hi,
I don't know anything about a "new virus going around", but this problem often happens when you open a file from one location but save it to another, and then when you open the file again, you go back to the original. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "SmartCookie" wrote: Hello, I am working on password protected files - 2009 budget files. These are VERY complex files with a lot of functions, about 20 worksheets, and various formatting. Each page is password protected. I am working in Microsoft Excel 2003, not Vista. I am opening the files using the password and NOT as "read only". I have begun to realize that I am making edits and saving, but when I reopen the file the edits are not there. I've done this many times - took me a while to convince myself it's not just my bad memory. This is really driving me nuts. Has anyone else had this issue? My boyfriend who is a computer techie told me this could be related to the new Windows bugs etc that are going around. Do you all agree? I went and looked for files/folders for "offline" use and found some folders but no files were in them. Any clue? Anyone? Maybe I really am repeatedly forgetful and crazy ? Thanks everyone!
