ExcelBanter - Conditional Formatting

One way is to define a named range on each worksheet other than the summary
page by highlighting the range that contains names, then in the little box in
the upper left where it usually has the address, typing in a word like
"ShA","ShB","ShC" etc (without the quotes).

The named ranges are necessary because references to other sheets or
workbooks are not allowed in conditional formats.

After you have all your named ranges defined, for your conditional format
highlight the first row with a name in it (let's say A2 for the sake of this
example).

Format the cells by formula using:

=(countif(ShA,$A2)+countif(ShB,$A2)+countif(ShC,$A 2)+countif(ShD,$A2)+countif(ShE,$A2)+countif(ShF,$ A2)+countif(ShG,$A2)+countif(ShH,$A2)+countif(ShI, $A2)+
countif(ShJ,$A2)+countif(ShK,$A2)+countif(ShL,$A2) +countif(ShM,$A2)+countif(ShN,$A2))1
