[Statistical functions] Function to return result from Z table?
Here is what I am wondering, is there a statistical function in Excel that,
given a value of Z, returns the look up value from a Cumulative Standard Normal Distribution table? That is, if Z = 0, returns .5, if Z = 1, returns .84134, if 2, .97725, etc. Thanx, -plh -- Where are we going and why am I in this HAND BASKET?? |

Mike,
Thank you for replying, but I want to do the reverse of what that function does. Give NORMSINV 0.93822 and you get 1.54000145 I need a function that given 1.54000145 will return 0.93822 (etc.) Thank You, -plh In article , Mike Middleton says... plh - Worksheet function NORMSINV returns the inverse of the standard normal cumulative distribution. - Mike Middleton http://www.DecisionToolworks.com Decision Analysis Add-ins for Excel "plh" wrote in message ...
