Combo box for 97
 

I am having a difficult time trying to find out how you put a combo box in
using excel 97. I also want the box attached to a cell. I'm a novice at
excel.

Hi,

The easiest way is to choose View, Toolbars, Forms. Then click the combo
box tool and click or drag in the spreadsheet. To attach its results to a
cell, right-click it choose Format Control, click the Control tab and set a
link cell (where you want the results) and Input range (where you list the
items you want displayed in the combo box)

If this helps, please click the Yes button

Combo box for 97
 

I want it to act exactly like a drop down box (data validation) but I also
want to be able to type in the box if I can't find it in my drop down menu.
