Auto sum only adding the last few numbers in the column.
 

I select the column of numbers. Some cells have no value because no charge
has been posted to that line item. I need to know the totals as the month
progresses. But when I select cells from the top of the list (client A) to
the bottom of the list (client z), autosum only adds together the last few
numbers selected. What am I doing wrong. I've done this before and I've
gotten totals, even when some cells had nothing posted to them.

Some cells may contain TEXT numbers. Are these numbers the result of a
formula or are they manually entered?
