Can I use conditonal sum and have results on a linked sheet?

When I run the conditional sum wizard I get a run-time error '1004':

Unable to set the FormulaArray property of the range class

This only happens if I use a different sheet with in the workbook to show
the result in. If I choose an empty cell in the current sheet it works just
fine. Is this a limitation or is there a work-a-round?

If you put the results on a different sheet, the original sheet name is
included in the formula. That might make it too long for the wizard, so
it can't calculate the result.

Perhaps you could put the result on the original sheet when using the
wizard. Then, cut that cell, and paste it onto the second sheet.
