I want to view worksheets in the same workbook side by side. The Help system
in excel makes this seem quite easy but then goes on to say you must turn on
side by side. It does not tell you how to do this. Any ideas?

Use Windows | New Window (you will see in title bar a name like MyFIle.XLS:2
Use Windows | Arrange | Tiled
Now you see the same sheet twice
Click Sheet2 tab; now you see Sheet1 and Sheet2

NOTE: close the MyFile.XLS:2 before saving and ending session or else the
workbook will open with two windows every time

best wishes
