collapsing rows together
 

I've got a situation like this:

34F A
34F T
T65 Y
T65 P

and I want to flatten out the rows by the first column to get this:

34F A T
T65 P Y

I have a lot of data I need to do this with unfortunately, any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Assume source data as posted within A2:D5
Assume the 2 unique items are listed in E2:E3, viz: 34F, T65

Put this in F2, normal ENTER:
=IF(ISNA(MATCH(1,INDEX(($A$2:$A$5=$E2)*(B$2:B$5<" "),),0)),"",INDEX(B$2:B$5,MATCH(1,INDEX(($A$2:$A$5 =$E2)*(B$2:B$5<""),),0)))
Coy F2 across to H2, fill down. This returns the exact results that you seek.
