Excel Formula to copy every nth row
 

Hi,
I have seen a few post regarding similar question but, I cannot seem to get
one that is fitting. Im looking for a formula that will copy every nth row
from a different spreadsheet into a current spreadsheet. It is all text but
keeps returning a "0" result.
Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Lets' say that you data is arranged in the following format in range A1:B7

Name Age
A 1
S 2
D 3
F 4
G 5
H 6

In A9, type "condition" (without the quotes). In A10, enter the following
formula =MOD(ROW(A2:A7),2)=1 . Now perform the following steps:

1. Highlight range A1:B7;
2. Go to Data Filter Advanced Filter
3. Select copy to another location
4. In list range give the reference as A1:B7
5. In criteria range, give the reference as A9:A10
6. In copy to, give the reference of any blank cell

Now click on OK. This will copy all the alternate rows to the specified
location.
