Solver examples

Hi Guys,

I just want to ask our experts in excel on how can build a solver
template that goes by specifying certain percetage (mix %) for each
model/part and then arriving to a total sales (max out) and minimizing
our cost productions. Also, can it be applied in VBA? I really want
this template to look like a tool to be use in our department/office.

Thanks in advance.

I suggest you start by looking at the machine allocation and process
selection models available on Solver's web site. Browse to www.solver.com,
click the Solutions tab at the top of the web page, and click Production
from the drop-down menu. Then download the Production Examples workbook. Or,
get it directly from
http://www.solver.com/solutions/Prod...20Examples.xls

You can control Solver using VBA. For information, browse to www.google.com,
and search for "excel solver vba" (without the quotes). There are many
resources available.
