Bring back the old help format!
It's very frustrating when using help now that it seems all answers are found
in tutorials on the web. They take forever to get through. Particularly in Excel. I use functions quite often and used to rely on the help function to help me determine which functions were available and how they worked. You could find your function and a quick overview very quickly. It seems this has disappeared, and all that's available in its place are tedious tutorials which take forever to get to the point. |
Hi John
my suggestion is to use groups.google.co.uk or groups.google.com and use advance search - the only pain is that you have to type microsoft.public.excel* into the "Return only messages from the newsgroup" section every time however if you'ld like to let MS know what you think send them an email at -- Cheers JulieD check out www.hcts.net.au/tipsandtricks.htm ....well i'm working on it anyway "John Przybylski" <John wrote in message ... You can turn off the on-line help feature. See http://snipurl.com/88on for Norman Harker instructions. Note Frank's post about installing older help files if you have access to them.
