formating date problem
I created an xls sheet with a column of dates with a chosen format of
12/12/2012. At somepoint in updated the sheet, the format of the date columns has changed to numeric numbers in the thousands. I have been told that the number is how many days since 1/1/1900. I have tried changing the format to all the various date formats and it doesn't change. When highlighting the field, my original input of format xx/xx/xxxx is still in the display above, but defaults back to the xxxxx format in the field. Any idea how to fix? |

Hi,
Try this Tools, Options, View tab, and if Formulas is checked, uncheck it. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "Leslie" wrote: I created an xls sheet with a column of dates with a chosen format of 12/12/2012.
