Average column

I have a column of cells which contain some cells with values (ie:
4,6,3,5,7 etc.) and some blanks (cells which possibly will have values
if circumstances are right) I need to average the values but ignore
the blank cells. can this be done and how
Thanks
EJ

Average column

My appologies, The empty cells are not empty, they contain a formula
which is returning
=IF(ISERROR('Date Scores'!D2328),"",('DateScores'!D2328))
this is because they only return a value if the cell D2328 has a valid
value (if it hasnt a valid value D2328 returns #NULL)

Even in this case, the average formula will yield the correct result.
