Need help with function please
 

How can I revise this formula to flag colum A with the following: If B3 is
nontext (date) or "Blank" than "Blank" leave "blank" if not blank than enter
a "3" and If B4 is "blank, than leave blank if not blank than enter a "1"
and if B5 = Blank than leave blank if not blank than enter a 2. If blank row
than leave blank. I want to copy this down the whole column. Thank you.

=IF(ISNONTEXT(B3)*1,3,IF(B4="",1,IF(B5="",2)))

Hi

This sounds to me, the same as your earlier posting for which you received
responses except that you are now saying the existing values are in column
B, and you want your results in column A
If that is the case, then amend the formula I gave you to
=IF(B5="","",N(A4)+1)

If you would like, you can mail the workbook to me directly, and I will see
if I can get it to do what you want.
