V-Look up copy problem-PLEASE HELP

Hi I am trying to look-up the expenses based on the ID on the person.

I used the formula "=VLOOKUP(A2,'Base Data'!$A$2:$E$489,5,FALSE)" whose
result is 183. When I copy the same in the col I am getting the result as
"183" in all the cells in the col. Unless I actually do F2 and enter, the
actual value is not returned. I have sorted both the 'lookup value' col & 1st
col in 'Table array' by ascending order, but still persisting with the
problem.

ID Expenses
10740_IN 183
11083_IN 183
11518_IN 183
11921_IN 183
12060_IN 183
12449_IN 183
13084_IN 183
13369_IN 183
13529_IN 183

Can somebody assist. Hope I have given the full description of my problem.
Thanks in advance.
