Changing cell addresses to recently added names in existing formul
Filled several cells with formulae that uses data from various cells.
Subsequently assigned names to the data cells. Formulae still reflects column+row addresses. Is there an easy way to update all of the cells with formulae to reflect the assigned names as opposed to the cell address? Just use Find/Replace. Say you have:
=E1 in a cell and later define the name eone to E1. Find/Replace can change the formula from: =E1 to =eone -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200803 "Colts41" wrote: Filled several cells with formulae that uses data from various cells. This is a big improvement over my editing each formula. In this particular instance, I only have about 20 named cells, so I can use the replace method. I have other workbooks with many more data cells that I would like to update with names. Is there a way that Excel can be "forced" to reflect names? By the way I'm using Excel 2007.
