Making a date go red, if date passes todays date.

I want to be able to enter a future date that would be black when entered,
and then go red when that date passes. (to show urgent/out of date work).

Is this possible?

Yes. Look up "conditional formatting" in Excel help.

Use conditional formatting with a formula of =A1<TODAY()
