Replace input cell data using Vlookup
I have a number of employees who each have a unique 8 digit folio number. I
have a spreadsheet that my boss wants filling in every day detailing where each employee is and what they are doing, unfortunately he is only interested in the folio number and not the name of the individual. With over 130 people reporting to me it is inpractical for me to remember all folio numbers but I do remember all names. I have set up a spreadsheet with names to folio numbers and have used vlookup to input a name to get a number. What I want to try and do is to get that all in one cell so that I can input the name and once input, the folio number will overwrite it. Is this possible ???? |

You would have to resort to a macro to do that. Why not have a vlookup in
your cell and type the name in another cell which the Vlookup can refer to Mike "gz3cx8" wrote: I have a number of employees who each have a unique 8 digit folio number.
