Keep data in fields if no update while updating
The problem must be solved without using VB and the excel version is 2003 !
The problem is I have an everyday sheet to keep track of some part#s and another that need to take the data from that day and place them under that day in a sheet that keeps track of data for a week at a time. I got a field on the latter that updates the day using date functions and from which I derive the actual day. i need to do something like: IF(THISDAY="TUESDAY";a2=[dailysheet]!a2; ....else keep the data alreayd in a2) where the problem is the latter part since writing ;) or ;"") clears the field and ;a2=a2) gives circular ref. error. also if the current day is friday all the previous 'day'-fields must contain their values until I set a field on a formula sheet to 'ClearAll', like IF([formulas]g10="ClearAll";"";IF(THISDAY.........)) Latter construction works fine and, but I still need a way to retain cells with their values if they are not updated. Any ideas?....without using VB! |

Without a VBA solution, your only approach is a manual one.

Thx,
just glad to get a confirmation on my own suspicions. /Michael "Duke Carey" skrev: Without a VBA solution, your only approach is a manual one. |
