Pivot Table filters, especially DATE filters
I have consistently had trouble filtering information in a Pivot Table by
DATE in Excel 2007. There seems to be no way to designate a field of date items so that you get date-specific filter options, such as "show results from last month" or "show results from within this date range", etc. All of the help resources I've consulted suggest that Excel automatically recognizes dates and provides you with date filters. I've found that this works sometimes, but there are many times when it refuses to recognize date fields. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
