password protect certain cells change

I have a cell which use a look-up table, Is there a way in which a user can
change the data in the cell, with out removing the look-up formula and only
change the cell data after a warning message. I am no good with code so if
poss is there a way to do it with out code?

No. Entering anything into a cell that contains a formula will remove
the formula, and the warning message will require code. Using Data
Validation will display a message that may be of some use to you but then
the cell couldn't contain a formula. Perhaps if you would provide more
information about what you want to do, someone may be able to offer some
suggestions. HTH Otto
