Auto Publishing

Hi All,

I have an excel file which is linked to my web page and it is auto
published.

However, now I need to send a copy of the file to a friend but I am
afraid that any copies made from the source file will also try to
publish to the web page. I do not want this to happen...

Any idea on how to stop auto publishing in microsoft excel or make a
copy of the file without the auto publishing feature?

Thanks in advance,

Anshuman

Auto Publishing

From the top menu (assuming Excel 2003 and lower), select...
FILE then SAVE AS WEB PAGE then PUBLISH
In the 'Publish as' section, uncheck 'AutoRepublish every time this workbook
is saved.'
As an extra precaution, In the 'Publish as' section,, change the 'Filename'
to something like 'C:\Temp\Do_not_publish.xls'
Select PUBLISH.

Hope this helps.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Thanks for the response.

However, I have 100+ objects from the file which are getting published
to the sharepoint at various places on multiple dashboards. So, I
guess i need to uncheck the auto-publish option for all the charts,
and dhasboards one by one.

I found another method this morning.

I selected all the tabs of the file and made a copy to a new workbook.
When I saved the new workbook, the auto-publish option did not come
with it.

Earlier, I was trying to copy the file itself and the auto publish
option was also coming along.

Thanks for the help however.
