If I draw a shape in Excel (say a triangle), can I colour it?
Sure, just double click on the autoshape Colors and Lines tab Under Fill Choose the color from the droplist OK -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 Downloads:16,700 Files:356 Subscribers:53 xdemechanik --- |

This is because my question was inprecise. I have a rather complex drawing (house plans) made up of lines drawn using the "draw" function. What I really need is a colouring function that will work to my lines and not to excel cells or a pre-defined autoshape. I think I am looking for something that cannot be done in excel? Better to buy a CAD/graphics package!!! David http://savefile.com/projects/236895 Downloads:16,700 Files:356 Subscribers:53 xdemechanik --- |

the "draw" function. What I really need is a colouring function that will
work to my lines and not to excel cells or a pre-defined autoshape. "Lines" in Excel are "pre-defined autoshapes". And you can color them as Max & Alan have mentioned. Right-click right on each line. Or CTRL- click first to select several to speed things up. But yes, Auto-CAD or similar would certainly be superior to Excel for real drafting. Kinda pricey, usually. |
