macro help to change row colour automatically
 

my excel is like this

Australia xxx 100
yyy 200
zzz 300
Australia total 600

UK xxx 400
yyy 200
zzz 600
UK total 1200


i want to set a macro so that if the cell in column A contains "total", the
row colour (in this case, Australia total & UK total) will change into yellow
automatically..

Use conditional formatting.

select all the cells, A1:A10
Goto FormatCondiitional Formatting
Change Condition 1 to Formula Is
Add a Formula of ISNUMBER(SEARCH("total"),A1))
Click the format button, select the Pattern tab and choose a colour
