copy and paste not functioning, think clipboard problem
 

I seem to be unable to copy and paste formulae - have always tended to use
control C and enter method of copying and pasting
Even when copying from a single cell to say remainder of column, get error
message, "Data on clipboard is note the same size and shape as selected area.
Do you want to paste the data anyway" - I click OK but all that does is to
change the formula in the source cell to a hard number value and none of the
rest of the pasting happens.

are you trying to handle merged cells? if so, that may be your
problem.
