Excel still not recognising equal values
Always post your formulas and the values of the arguments.
<I hit return In which cell? <messing up the vlookup that gets the information into sheet 1 What does that mean? Are all cells either text ot numbers? -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "pecan" wrote in message ... |I have a list of users with unique ID numbers, and I've used vlookup to get | some more information about them on to one worksheet (sheet 1). | | I now want to use vlookup again to get some information about a few of the | users on to another worksheet (sheet 2). The problem I'm having is that | Excel is not recognising the equal values between sheet 2 and sheet 1. I've | gone into the cells in sheet 1 to see if there is a rogue space somewhere | messing me up, and there isn't, but as soon as I hit return then the vlookup | on sheet 2 starts working. This has the unfortunate side effect of messing | up the vlookup that gets the information into sheet 1 in the first place! | | I've tried paste special to make both columns values only, but it hasn't | worked. | | I can't figure out why clicking on the cell and hitting return would get the | formula to work. | | Any ideas? |
