Paste, Paste Special

I've got a worksheet in one workbook that I want to paste into a blank
worksheet in another. I've tried selecting the whole worksheet, then
Copy, etc, tried selecting only the particular cells I want, then
Copy, etc, I've tried Paste, Paste Special, All, Formats, Formulas,
the lot. But it still won't paste all the formulas nor all the
formats in, only some, as far as I can see. I've got both worksheets
open in the 'same' Excel, ie I haven't got Excel open twice (it won't
do it at all then). Any answers?

Paste, Paste Special

Open both workbooks (make sure you have backups in case something goes
wrong)
Use Window | Arrange | Tiled so you can see both
Hold down the CTRL key and drag the tab of the source worksheet to the tab
line of the target book; Release mouse button
Now the second book has an exact copy of the sheet from the first book
best wishes
