IF function?
Hi,
I have 2 columns of data i'm working with. column 1 is dec.04 dates, column 2 are jan,feb,mar.05 dates. i had to identify which names in the dec.04 are also in the '05 column. i used the VLOOKUP formula and returned the result in column 3 and i got the information i needed. Now i want to delete those names in the dec.04 column. is there a formula to delete these names/dates? so column 3 is showing all the names that i need deleted in column 1. can you help? thanks!! |
You could put this formula in C1
=ISNUMBER(MATCH(A1,B:B,0)) and the do a DataAutofilter on column C, and select the TRUE value from the dropdown, then delete the visible rows. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Galway" wrote in message ...
