countif from different worksheets
 

I keep daily attendance and grades in a workbook. Each worksheet has a date
as its tab. Worksheets are formatted identically with Student names,
attendance, etc in the same spot on each sheet. I wish to count the number
of unexcused absences using the countif function on the last page of the
workbook by counting the same cell for each kid on each worksheet. Nothing
I've tried works.

What are the dates, are they a month, each day of a month, or what?

Dates are given by mmddyy like 062708, 062708, etc.
