Formula appears as text
I am entering numbers in a spreadsheet but when I try and sum them the
destination cell shows the formula as text eg =+E1+E2+E3 instead of the value. I have formatted the cells as numbers |
Hi
check tools / options / view and ensure that formulas is unchecked. in addition, if you changed the cell from text to number this may not be enough to reset it choose your worksheet, do edit replace and replace an = with an = (you might want to do this on a back up of your workbook first) Cheers JulieD "Tiles" wrote in message ... Thanks, JulieD. Formulas was checked. Unchecking solved the problem.
